The live-action/animated spy comedy Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore was released in 2010 and was directed by Brad Peyton. It is the follow-up to the Cats & Dogs movie series. The movie, released on July 30, 2010, is a standalone sequel to the 2001 film Cats & Dogs and places a greater emphasis on the animal characters than the first movie did.
The labored Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, a 3D movie set in San Francisco, believes its pre-teen target audience has a basic understanding of Bond films. English-speaking Bay Area cats and dogs are members of two covert intelligence agencies committed to defending their human owners. The agent Kitty Galore then exhibits megalomaniacal traits, such as petting a pet mouse in a way reminiscent of Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
The 2010 spy comedy film Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, which Brad Peyton directed in his feature film debut, was produced by Andrew Lazar, Polly Johnsen, Greg Michael, and Brent O’Connor. It featured music by Christopher Lennertz and Shirley Bassey and was written by Ron J. Friedman and Steve Bencich. Jack McBrayer and Chris O’Donnell both appear in the movie. James Marsden, Nick Nolte, Christina Applegate, Katt Williams, Bette Midler, Neil Patrick Harris, Sean Hayes, Joe Pantoliano, Michael Clarke Duncan, Wallace Shawn, and Roger Moore appear in the movie voice actors.
A labrador puppy is discovered outside the office of a worker named Freidrich, who is delivering secret codes at a satellite base in northern Germany. He brings the puppy indoors and introduces Rex, his pet bloodhound. Rex notices the puppy is acting strangely and begins to bark at her, prompting the worker to remove him outside. They are both locked outside of the office. Looking out the window, Rex notices a puppy photographing the top-secret papers, who turns out to be Kitty Galore, a female hairless cat. Rex reports to HQ and is discovered to be a dog agent.
One crazy cat has gone too far in the age-old conflict between cats and dogs. Old cat spy Kitty Galore has devised a cunning scheme to bring down her canine adversaries and her former feline allies and turn the entire planet into her scratching post.
In Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, a comedy that combines live action with cutting-edge puppetry and computer animation, cats and dogs will be compelled to work together for the first time in history in an unexpected alliance to defend themselves and their humans from this unprecedented peril.
As a warm-up act, the movie starts with a brand-new Road Runner cartoon that serves as a reminder of how things used to be and how they’ve evolved. Wile E. Coyote tries to use a bungy rope to jump on the Road Runner, but his luck turns violently and dramatically more often than before. The 3D experience made this movie remarkable.
